Description
Despite the popular belief that municipal sewer systems are the preferred method of disposing of human waste, there are events – system failures, the practice of bypassing treatment because of storm events – that allow improperly treated sewage to enter and contaminate our waterways. A well-placed and properly functioning septic system is an effective method of treatment and disposal. If you own one, congratulations, you are a sewer manager. Its operation and maintenance are your duty and your system’s successful operation will require an educated, hands-on approach.
