Description
October 2025 – Crab Team data enabled an ecological assessment of Salish Sea pocket estuaries, comparing habitat types and resilience to the 2021 atmospheric “Heat Dome.” A decade of data collected by community monitors helped build an understanding of how channels, lagoons and tidal flats differ, and one of the best looks at how these sites fared in response to an extreme heat event in the summer of 2021.
