Description

Catch up on Washington Sea Grant’s recent research, outreach and education programs across the state through Sea Star, our biannual magazine.

We are excited to share that with autumn 2022 issue, we are launching a new format that has been expanded to 12 pages, which accommodates a full-spread cover and more room for the in-depth feature stories written by our staff and science communications fellows as well as fun additions such as a seafood recipe.

In this issue, you’ll find stories about new research on the damage from the historic 2021 heat wave and on how new whale watch regulations could affect businesses; how WSG has fostered unique collaborations including the Pacific Northwest Crab Research Group and a program to recycle marine debris; and insight into WSG’s ongoing programming including how NOAA Science Camp adapted after another year of pandemic-related closures and a letter from our director about our summer staff retreat.
