Summer 2024 Sea Star

The newest issue of our biannual magazine is here!

Sea Star Summer 2024 coverWashington Sea Grant (WSG) is excited to share about our research, outreach and education programs through Sea Star, our biannual magazine.

The summer 2024 issue includes four feature stories highlighting the rich variety of WSG’s work. This includes an article about WSG-funded eelgrass research and how it’s informing restoration efforts; a closer look at Molt Search, a new program from WSG Crab Team and Washington State University Extension helping residents get involved in the early detection and monitoring of invasive European green crab; a conversation with Carrie Garrison-Laney, WSG’s resident tsunami scientist and paleoseismologist; and a deep dive into how WSG is helping to roll out the Coastal Storm Modeling System (CoSMoS) in partnership with the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
