Washington Sea Grant is offering its Skills and Drills course for new or beginning fishermen on September 28-29 in South Bend, Washington. Held for the first time in March 2025, the course is meant for individuals interested in learning the necessary skills to enter the commercial fishing industry.

We are pleased to announce that five recent graduates have been awarded the Washington Sea Grant Hershman Fellowship for 2026–2027.
Washington Sea Grant is excited to announce that Amanda Rueda, a recent graduate of The Evergreen State College, has been selected as the 2026-2027 WSG Keystone Fellow.
Volunteers removed 153,000 pounds of marine debris from coastal beaches following the annual Independence Day cleanup.
